Laura in Denver

Ironic to the name I chose 2 years ago, I do not reside in Denver any longer. I am interested in many topics of hot debate lately: unjust or misused laws, how to cope in an inflation battered and jobless economy, etc.

I won a HubNugget award for The Story of a Rural One-Room Schoolhouse.

I also wrote for articles for DemandMedia, most of which were eHow articles about computers.

I have been a college instructor, computer analyst, security contractor and salesperson of computer/telecom equipment. 

I finally did damage control of my own business, which had been crippled by Colorado's "Amazon Law" or "Internet Tax". It angered Amazon enough to fire all affiliates in Colorado. So I conduct my business in Nw Mexico, but still travel frequently to Colorado.

I still care what happens in Denver, but no longer can or will pay so much to live there. I have since moved from Denver, but HubPages says I cannot change my name! I have my followers, who I like and like me. I keep my name, although it is no longer appropriate.
